रक्तदान क्यों करना चाहिए एवं इसके क्या लाभ हैं?
आंकड़ों के अनुसार हमारे देश में हर दिन करीब 12 हजार लोगों की मौत समय पर रक्त ना मिल पाने के कारण हों जाती है। भारत सरकार के अनुसार हर साल लगभग 15 लाख यूनिट ब्लड की जरूरत होती है जबकि समाज में फैली भ्रांतियों एवं रक्तदान के प्रति जागरूकता ना होने के कारण केवल 11 लाख यूनिट रक्त हीं उपलब्ध हों पाता है। यानी जरूरत के हिसाब से लगभग 4 लाख यूनिट रक्त की कमी हर साल होती है।
